Guidelines for WCCA E-Mail Usage

When addressing an e-mail to a group please use the blind carbon copy ("bcc") function. This will protect the privacy of our members. Accessing the bcc function varies depending upon the browser you are using. For example, in Microsoft’s Outlook, the bcc heading may be added to your e-mail by selecting the "View" function and then selecting "All Headers."

The subject heading should include a reference to the WCCA and the specific event, if possible.

Every e-mail should include a reminder at the bottom that any recipient who wishes to be removed from the distribution list should e-mail this request to the sender.

Example of an e-mail received by a WCCA member when the sender uses bcc function:

From: Lydia Icke (Sender’s name or e-mail address appears)

Date: June 7, 2002

To: Undisclosed-Recipient……..

Subject: WCCA Fall Cocktail Party- September XX

Please mark your calendars for the WCCA Fall Cocktail Party ………….
